It’s great to see the emerging discussions about AI literacy in the wake of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT. People of all ages will need to develop skills in this rapidly changing area. If we want to avoid making the same mistakes with AI technologies as we have with digital technologies in terms of lifelong education and training, I believe we could use some structure to help guide us.
Toward that end, I’ve created the AI Literacy Framework by taking the UNESCO Digital Literacy Global Framework and mapping AI skills onto it.
